know your truth weekend retreat for women

Salt Lake City
I Love My Life 2018
women's weekend retreat!

Here are some photos that show just a tiny bit of our weekend with women and fashion and dancing and healing our guilt and for me it was about talking about gray hair styling.
I could use a bit more product in my hair to edge my style!

see these 2 women - edgy hair styles

my sis is keeping her blonde for now - she is stylin' it as usual!

shopping in the Dressing Your Truth store that was brought in just
for us

healthy food for lunches was provided

Carol Tuttle (I just love her jacket!)

A type 4 woman (on the left) and a type 2 woman (on the right)
Type 4's are bold and stunning as they can wear black and
the true primary colors

The woman on the right is a soft subtle type 2 energy
and her clothes are soft and muted colors and soft texture

I will tell my hairdresser about how to style and cut my hair

can you tell I like my new hat as it is a very type 3 style which I am a type 3
I can wear the richer, deeper colors that tend towards a dirty grainier version
of the primary colors
↘↙

LOL!  my kind of accessories for Type 3

after our break-out sessions for type 3 energy profiling women
(displaying all the colors we can really look awesome in and rock it!)

my sister is a upward and light very fun and cute type 1 energy profiled woman
It was so fun and easy to travel with her!

we enjoyed our stay at the The Hilton Hotel and used the pool and outside
decks and we also walked around the downtown area and got to see
all the Comic Convention costumes that were walking down the street all the time
we were there.  I should of taken a pic of the Mad Hatter family walking down the street - very awesome costumes.

There will not be one next year to attend so hopefully in a couple of years she (Carol Tuttle) will put on another weekend retreat.

last year snaps

these photos
are from last year
and I was reviewing all my pics
to see what I can blog about

moments....
is what the following
pics gave me

yellow!  (day lily finally bloomed)

I felt very awesome wearing this outfit
(comfy, dynamic, pattern fun)

this makes me laugh
when I saw this pic
I seemed to keep scaring these cows
when I went for my walks down
grid road.  They would stop and stare and then
run off quite a distance to get away from me!

women's weekend retreat in Utah
says it all here and it was terrific to
hike with these hot rich ladies (type 3s)

Carol Tuttle, who is my counselor/psychologist in my life now and she gives more
healing and authenticity to her community as the only co-founder and creator of Dressing Your Truth, plus this
outfit was her best from the weekend in September!

I painted my all black Ariat cowgirl boots I purchased back
in 2010  They turned out a bit bronzed which I love!

drawing and colouring flowers was the most enjoyable and
productive in my art room this year.  I was so inspired by my
new flower bed.

this picture of my blue Goldstone pendant was a hit
on my "yourstory" instragram pics.  It went so well
with this plaid blouse

present time now with
ending this post with this young man...

the winter olympics' snowboard events are my favourite
and I am looking forward to the "big air" snowboard jumping
on Feb 23 and 24th.  Mark McMorris from Regina is
fun to follow.  I have him energy profiled as a soft, subtle, detailed
and connected type 2 man.  His natural nature is to be relaxed and easily connected to people as well  he is very detailed so his
technicality skills when snowboarding proves that.!

AHA'S of my retreat in SLC

hair tips -

negative talk that does not support my hair

cant get it like the stylist

cant get my hair funky enough - edgy enough

my spouse has opinions about my hair

I love My Hair

My Hair Is Great Today

(let go of negative talk by burning in a tin can all the negative comments about my hair
that I wrote and put in that tin can)

Our struggles  PRACTICE with our nature or energy profile (a..ha.. moments with Carol)

I am well on the path of practicing me; I no longer think of myself as recovering!  Take the word Struggle out of my vocabulary and replace it with Practice.

DYT is bringing your inner soul experience out into your outside appearance.

The inner self comes out in dressing your truth/inner-self.  Your appearance shows your soul with
DYT and my.liveyourtruth.com energy profile.

SELF CARE

self care is dressing my truth even if I am not going anywhere.!
..dress to cook...dress to just spend the morning at home...dress to watch tv

ALWAYS DRESS MYSELF WITH MY TRUTH!

packin' - stylin'

Hey All!
How is it going?
the days are cold and
especially today Dec 29th!

I am working on a hair style

that is a tad edgier than my norm
and packing for our holiday in another
week.

I remember when Christmas was the most exciting
time for me because my Mom really made it magical.

As an adult I still enjoy the lights and look forward
to a present or two under the tree but it is a quieter season for me now
and I like it like that.
A few Christmas events building up  to the day is
good but I now just want to snuggle in with a good read
and watch the tree lights twinkle and visit quietly
with a friend or two.

This last week....
the parents are both still functioning okay in
a senior residence and also driving us crazy sometimes
with the medical appointments but we are presenting
our thoughts on that to them as best as we can
and praying this next year is quieter for having
flus' and hoping for keeping their medications stable.
I am very fortunate to have my brother and sister
in the city where my folks live.
They assist ALOT when they can and it is
like this:
"It seems that one mother  can look after
many children but now it takes all 3 of us and more to look after
one mother! (our father included)!

How about you?
Keeping fit over the holidays?
Maintaining-no gain with the weight?

here is a great quote from Carol Tuttle
lifestyle program

"When You Look Good And Feel Good, You Are More
Confident To Do Good, In A World That Needs Your Gifts!"

fall switch-ups

I had fun changing my cowgirl boots from all black
to this!

Brian and I bought a horse.  Well we bought out the other
co-owner's share.  We spent all spring and summer attempting
to sell this buckskin called Brushetta; but I knew deep down she needed to be my horse (well
Brian's horse too.)  So we done did it! and now can take her out and feel
comfortable with a good solid and mild tempered riding horse.
As a 10 year old she is young enough to enjoy
rides with her for a good many years

T

Horses are not always what you hope for
so we have sold one colt to a trainer outside Melville
This young one, (Tuko),  showed he liked to buck for no reason... really?
He has had lots of rides on him and trained thoroughly
by both my husband and his partner.
He is at a good home now though as this trainer was
looking for a project horse. (perfecto!)
(fare thee well Tuko!)

I bought some clothes in Utah at my Dressing Your Truth
weekend retreat and I am attempting to get an outfit
together.  I bought this long forest green open sweater.

(so comfy)

Here's to stylin' it up and enjoying your pets!

Hobbies Type 3 woman - that's me

can you relate to this video?

I am in this conversation in my head by
nodding silently  I am a dominant type 3 woman!

I have a swift push forward movement
I can feel the intensity a bit and how determination is a big
part for these two!
The woman on the right is Carol Tuttle.
(I happen to love Ballet - lol!)

learn the 4 different types of nature that dominant our movement
by googling Carol Tuttle

ILML

First off, our children come first so......things are "super fantastic" with my son
Tommy's Puppet Lab has over 50,000 subscribers as of
yesterday (yay)!  the families and children love his

flying over Utah

I am going to be
a women who has the  time to get together to celebrate with other women and invest $$ in self-care!
We are a necessary and integral part of this world and when we invest hugely
in being together..... well everyone benefits.

I Love My Life!

I love sharing my thoughts, not opinions, but have a point of view
that respects others but shows a perception that isn't politics
I watched Wonder Woman last night and what a timely movie
with a message of war and how easy it is to hate.  I am simple minded
I choose love!

(yes, got my ticket for next year, and so does my sister!)

my face-my nature

4 years ago I was sitting
in our Regina condo
and was on facebook and
a
free offer to discover your natural movement
and profile by living your truth by dressing your truth showed
up on my page.
I jumped in a took the free lesson
I had no problem figuring out what type I was.

It was so much fun and so
intriguing to understand and learn
about my "flaws" and all the good there
is about who I am.

I have not looked back

I am soon flying to Salt Lake City Utah and participating in a weekend
retreat with 400 women all over the world who are flying in just like me to
learn more about why I do the things the way I do and that it is a gift to the world and
how to have confidence to know that it is!

My husband has find out his type and it helps so much in our marriage because he is
a different profile than I.  It is so cool.

I am beyond excited to get their on Sept 21 and talk colors, fabrics, how
to match that with my energy and natural characteristics.  It is so much more
than clothes but yet it is about beauty and learning that we are who we are
and it is a gift.  Even the way I use money and my decision making process that
I now understand completely and it is all okay.  It's me!

my guilt list

okay
I am going to nip this in the bud
so to speak

The Guilt List

I feel guilty when.....

I don't bake enough

I don't have food prepared
for company in my freezer

When someone vents out loud I think it is my fault or somehow
I screwed up

I read too many books, am I lazy?

I should of hugged my boys more when they were little

Because, I am not much for hugging

When I don't have anything planned for the day, or several days

When I am not making friends

When I use money incorrectly

When I do not have as much energy as other women seem to

When I cannot patch up the past and have to just live in the present

When my neck gets stiff and I once again have to slow down and relax

....and on and on it will go and it depends on the time of year

The Guilt Resolved List

in my senior retirement years I have resolved this.....

  • My self-talk is positive

  • My confidence is based on my Guilt List (above) - if no guilt ....I can move forward, plan some fun...et al

  • Christmas comes around and I know I love buying a live tree and bringing it home and watching it thaw out to see what shape it will actually be.  Decorations are minimal.  I know once that tree is in the house the guilt about cooking, baking and performing traditional meals is always a work through process for me.  I don't feel guilty anymore because I know what I love that time of year.  Lights!  I speak my mind to my family about what I need this time of year and I know that it is appreciated - "Don't shrink, don't puff up, just stand my sacred ground!

my mother-in-law made a statement to me
many years ago when my boys were toddlers and I was really
not coping well.  She said "Donna, everything will pass in time". Sometimes
I remembered those words and sometimes I didn't.

I know there is more guilt that crops up depending on
timely events and things misinterpreted among people

I trust myself and have a purpose in life to
be truthful to my nature and then things do fall into place
with guilt or no guilt.  We cannot get back to the past, even if I try I just can't get there!

Have you ever written down your guilt list?

your natural colours

I am living and dressing my truth
with Carol Tuttle's programs
and the 4 types of nature and
style guide colours are confusing
to alot of us.

My nature is rich dynamic swift moving multi-tasking
person.  So the framed colour chart on the bottom
left on this wall are my colours/shades/tones to wear as
these colours match my true nature of movement.

what a great idea for someone to get all 4 and
put them on their wall.

I am not saying much more
as you have to be a dressing your truth
member or at least sign in for the free
short video to learn your type.

my hubby is a bold still movement and his
is the bottom right colour guide.

here is the link to the
free video

it is a fun work in progress and I have been living
and dressing my truth for 4 years. So enjoy!

Sunflowers are extroverted

I enjoyed my wild flowers this year.  The sunflower is the most expressive! glorious extroverted bold I have been picked for the house! alm...
