horse bandit ..I think

Happy Hallowe'en!

stay safe and hold back on those treats in your house (as if)

Wednesday works

what is your best season?

Mine is Hallowe'en and it never
gets old for me at my age

I just like a bit of creepiness
in my life and those.... come on - those
costumes alone are endless
in creativity!

on another topic: tonight for supper it is fish
and roasted potato sides

here is the recipe
I used regular potatoes and threw in some
left over carrots from the fridge

i am getting back into Young Living Essential Oils
and I put these oils on the bottom of my feet only
and I do this everyday.

I don't have to worry about skin reactions if they
are too harsh for me as they are powerful
and even with a carrier oil sometimes
I can't put them on topically so the bottoms
of the feet is the 2nd best place to apply.
They work!

Have a good one!

growing a little pumpkin

I have a pumpkin that is actually
showing it will be a pumpkin large
enough for fall; hopefully no frost
for awhile (crossing fingers)

it's so cute!
( love it when something makes me feel like a little kid !)

my broom my pumpkins

Halloween time.
Rich earthy colours abound.
Orange plump fruit

black is on stage too!
gold is my favourite colour for fall
orange is loud
brown is earth
green is kindness

are you decorating?
do you like Halloween?

lingering webs

this cross I purchased in Havre Montana a few years back
I like hanging it somewhere in or around our home
it's shows strength and protection to me

the ghostly stringy white lingering webs on it
are intriguing especially during Hallowe'en week.

a little festive thanks

highlights from my thanksgiving
a tatooed pumpkin

my son built this fire pit for us this weekend

I followed Martha Stewart's recipe for roasting turkey and it came out so
beautifully golden brown

2 of our nieces riding our horses and they are growing up sooooo fast...when did that happen?

I like lights anytime throughout the year so the dollar store had these LED jack-o-lanterns - so festive!

Hope it was a bit festive for all of you too!

surprise me!

I am a "sucker" for Halloween
and the pumpkin carved
and lit up with a candle
still is so cool!

when I was a child and the
pumpkin was plopped on the kitchen table and the carving knife
was ready to create a happy face on it;
it was so thrilling!

I surprised a couple of people today who
have made a significant difference
in my life, with a treat and card
drop off at their place of business!

even tho it is only a simple Halloween card with
a chocolate in an envelope, I know it can be a fun
moment for my professional friends.

I felt a bit of Halloween in me without
the costume, but just the spirit of it today!

the Monster came

maybe because it is Halloween
my Monster is talking to me
well as it did yesterday,
thats right, you know the kind of Monster
that tells ya, or tells me anyway, "I am not a strong and assertive enough woman",
I felt insecure and anxious and fearful yesterday, it was just talking to me enough to make me feel
insecure,  it was there and it took until I woke up this morning
and asked myself, "Why am I feeling like this all of a sudden"?
well hello little creepy loudmouthed ugly Monster,
I am not listening to you, I have kicked you far away now,

Do you have a Monster, whispering in your ear sometimes
saying low self-esteem  phrases  and negative words in your ear?

Let's keep the fun Halloween Monsters
around for this week, but I myself must BEWARE of my little voice MONSTER!

Have a  fun Pumpkin fun Monster Halloween week!

BOO

a little stressful

work has been a little stressful (more so lately),

a new Manager (this has been new for a couple of months now)
our dept has not adjusted to this
new form of 'managing' (ANGER/FRUSTRATION)

and also a coworker's personal emotions of serious family health (TEARS)

and upbeat emotions with news of a new grandchild on the way (HAPPY)

a young coworker who is just 2 months pregnant (HAPPY)

one long term coworker's emotions over her friend's loss (TEARS)

also a favoured long term employee due to his knowledge and
 connections with many employees,
is retiring at the end of the month (SURPRISE/JEALOUSY!)

i am going to mention that all of these emotions were bouncing around
all day yesterday (some previous) and it took everything I had to keep focused on my work but
yet be compassionate and joyful.... all in one day?

kinda takes away from any feelings I had going on, so

i had to come home and bring out the bottle.....
}

{Tom helped me make this and it is real cute when the mini lites
are lit up inside the bottle}

the cutest spook ornament

I cannot locate a craft site to create this
but it is the cutest Hallowe'en idea!

I am thinking that to make this you will need:

a clear frosted bottle (eg: Peach Shnapps)
peel off labels and clean inside of bottle
cat and ghost and bat stickers or decals
and little white battery operated lights to put inside the bottle
fine tip marker to print on bottle
black ribbon/string

this is my Hallowe'en craft to try and create!

popcorn balls and jack-o-lanterns

making popcorn balls,
my son will carve the pumpkin
so it can glow,
halloween is a time to change your character
and be someone else,
 celebrate the colour orange,
admire the leaves in their
 colorful costume of color
have fun,
share candy,
i may change into a new costume,
and pick up my broom, (cackle)
happy hallowe'en!
