Wrangling with Friends

Our travel to Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park this past week
was interesting.
Our friends Morley and Shirley gifted us 2 nights lodging at this
ranch call the Reesor Ranch.

The men went on a 4 hour custom horse ride around the park in bush and hills and water.

Shirley and I attempted hiking and did manage to go on a couple of trails
considering it was wet and rained the night we got there and that next
morning.

you can look up the story of this Historic Ranch here....

we stayed in the Bunkhouse...just like a wrangler (lol) - we did have indoor washroom and shower
so that was a blessing!

The wranglers brought in all the horses for guests to choose which one they
wanted to take the ride on. (Pick your horse)

These 2 retired a while ago and this was a belated retirement gift for us and them
Very cool and thank you!

We did our best to look like we belonged.

their retirement careers has now unfolded and horses are almost as important as their
wives ??? what???

After his riding in the hills and a bit tired some wine and burgers were
available on the bunkhouse porch!

Shirley and I on our hike and all the flowers above were on our trail.
We were informed that orchids grow wild here and we may see some
once we get to the 2nd trail marker.  We looked and searched...

Orchids bloom in mid June and we walked through here looking for those orchids.
None was located unfortunately.

Now this is Morley and he is a Cowboy Poet and is showing off his
wrangling skills on a horse.  It was quite impressive! ha ha

I took a video clip of some of his poetry he entertained guests with
on our first night's supper at the ranch hall... take a listen...

This was a very unique little vacation!

I gotta go wrangle me some grub now as the fridge here at home I see is empty!
