our beautiful Ben is in retirement now
my last ride with him was in June
his legs are stiff and he needs so much rest to
keep up with the other horses
we have retired him to graze on and no more
riding. He is 19 years old and in good shape except for his
tired stiff legs. It makes us sad.

a rich course flowing mane
we are guessing that he must of caught a bit of West Nile a few years back
and it slowly lingered on as he has been favoured with extra glucosomine and
less riding than the other horses for several years now. It's caught up to him I guess.
