local painters

I am a local artist and I do not have any showings of my work

and I say this because I draw and write or paint almost everyday.

most of my work is not on canvas and if it is it is just 8 x 10 canvas and I

usually paint over it after a week and make something entirely new.

The Godrey Dean Art Gallery in Yorkton has a super showing right now

and while I was helping out there last Thursday I took snaps of

the paintings that popped out at me.

 this painting above is called "Trusting The Universe".  It is just black

paint and under the black is alot of texture and grooves then below is 

the band of white.  Very simple very striking and I liked the title of the painting.

my phone snaps are not doing this painting its justice.

this painting is dedicated to all the miners who have worked

in the Sask mines and died.  The circles are painted using actual potash.  It is called St Barbara's Egress/Not Forgotten (see below)

So inspiring and finally adult art classes are coming up for me

to attend and learn more...!
